The natural cycles and seasons represent the changes in our being and of life passing. The circadian rhythms of sleep and waking are the focus in the story of Sleeping beauty. The princess sleeps, therefore postponing her transformation from maiden to matron. For life to be lived we cannot avoid growing up and growing old.
